Profile

Moloney Architects is a Ballarat-based architecture practice working across Victoria and interstate.

We design one-off new homes and work within and alongside heritage buildings. Our work is design-led, but shaped by real conditions – site, existing fabric, planning, and budget.

Our process is simple: design, test, refine, repeat. At each stage, we test the design with an independent quantity surveyor, so decisions are made with clear cost information. Mick Moloney leads the design of every project, maintaining consistency across the work, resulting in well-built architecture that improves everyday life.

We specialise in contemporary residential architecture, alongside selected commercial and education projects where complexity demands careful resolution. Many of our projects involve challenging planning and environmental conditions – areas in which we’ve developed extensive experience.

The landscapes, heritage and character of regional Victoria are a part of who we are as a practice. We care about this place, and that care informs and shapes our design work.
